Poker Terminology: Small Blind (SB) & Big Blind (BB)
In hold’em and other poker games, there are two players who have to put money into the pot in each round – known as the small blind (sb) and the big blind (bb). The small blind is usually half the size of the big blind.
For example: In an online poker room, the rooms can be categorized by “blinds” or “limits”. You’ll see notation like $0.25 / $0.50 or $2/$4 tables. These two numbers refer to the small blind and big blind amounts.
The two blinds are always the last ones to act preflop and the first to act post-flop and on all subsequent streets (in hold’em, omaha and other games)
